Our Histroy

Avondale SDA Church was organised into a church in February 2005. Initially it was a small branch set  by Chelston District  SDA church in 2001 at Chelston High School for believers from and around  Avondale. When set as a branch, the first leader was Elder Mukula Makasa. With growing membership, the branch later matured into a company with Elder Makasa at the helm of leadership. With growing membership, Avondale become a church in 2005. Currently, the church has 247 members. Pastors that served in the district include, Namitondo,Chabala,Kayaya, Muyunda, Malambo and Moonga. Currently, the Chelston Mission District where Avondale hails is headed by Pastor Chiyangaya.
